The St. Godley Academy for Young Ladies is out of money after decades of academic service. To save the school the girls have an idea; mount a production of the Hermann Melville classic sea faring tale and set it to music. Moby Dick: The Musical from June 22 through 24 at the Wendy Williamson Auditorium, Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m. Tickets cost between $7 and $10 and are available at the door, from www.uaatix.com or at the Student Union Information Desk.MobyDick1

Originally written for the West End, Robert Longden, Hereward Kaye and Martin Koch, with the interference of Russell Ochocki and Cameron Mackintosh, have rewritten this hysterical comedy. West Anchorage High School is the first school from Alaska to appear on the American High School Theatre Festival stage, and they will be performing as part of the festival in Edinburgh, Scotland this August.
